FAA over the top on drone rulesThe Otter Tail “drone” story should make us all weep (Forum, April 30).
I’ve been a pilot for 49 years and am generally supportive of the Federal Aviation Administration. I share its concerns about real drones flitting about the sky, possibly endangering me and my passengers. But this is a toy, flying at low altitude – a glorified toy.
What next? Only two licensed pilots with current medicals can fly a kite? We’ve got some bureaucrats with way too much time on their hands, in my humble opinion. Sigh.
