Company gets OK to build drilling fluids plant in North DakotaBELFIELD, N.D. — Stark County zoning officials have given a Texas-based company the go-ahead to build a drilling fluids plant in southwestern North Dakota.
The Dickinson Press reports that the approval is contingent on AES Drilling Fluids LLC obtaining any other necessary permits, such as from the state Health Department.
The plant that would be built three miles south of Belfield would handle material that is considered hazardous. The company says the fluids would be stored in above-ground tanks.
