Fargo man pleads guilty in Montana stabbingBILLINGS, Mont. – A Fargo man charged with attempted deliberate homicide last year after a man was stabbed outside a south-central Montana bar has pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of aggravated assault.
William John Quade, 28, entered his plea April 19 in district court in Carbon County for the June 22, 2011, stabbing of 27-year-old Aaron Edmondson in Red Lodge.
Quade remains jailed in Billings. Prosecutors plan to seek a 15-year sentence, with nine suspended.
Prosecutors alleged Edmondson met Quade at a Red Lodge bar and then went to Edmonson’s house party. A woman accused Quade of stealing money and he left after an argument but returned later and stabbed Edmondson.
