F-M Ambulance, area hospitals to conduct tornado drill Wednesday morningFARGO – F-M Ambulance Service, Essentia Hospital and Sanford Hospital will conduct a mass casualty incident drill at 6:50 Wednesday morning.
Volunteer patients will be moulaged and placed in position by about 6:30. More than 70 patients will be triaged by the F-M Ambulance Service Disaster Response Team, according to a news release.
Patients will then be transported to both Essentia and Sanford Hospitals by private vehicles, ambulances and the F-M Ambulance Service ambus, which is capable of transporting 20 stretcher patients using up to six emergency medical service providers.
Once they arrive at the hospitals, they will be re-triaged and treated. Other volunteer participants will play the role of family members and bystanders, the release stated.
