Rural Horace resident announces candidacyHORACE – Rural resident Marty Johnson has filed papers to become a candidate for the Cass County Commission representing District 5.
Johnson, who resides at 7806 112th Ave. S., Horace, lives on a farmstead that was established by his great-grandfather and has been in the family for 120 years.
In a statement announcing his candidacy, Johnson said he is running to be a rural voice on the commission. He said his approach in office would combine his rural perspective and “common-sense problem solving.”
“I feel I would be a perfect fit for this job,” he said.
