Two Fargo men arrested in all-terrain vehicle theftMOORHEAD – Two Fargo men were arrested over the weekend in connection with a stolen all-terrain vehicle in Clay County.
According to Clay County Sheriff Bill Bergquist:
Deputies were dispatched about 6:40 a.m. Saturday on a report of a stolen ATV in rural Glyndon.
As they were responding, deputies got a call from a wrecker driver who had heard the dispatch call and informed the deputies he had just pulled a car out of the ditch in rural Glyndon and a blue ATV was parked in the ditch by the car.
A car matching the description of the vehicle was stopped with the assistance of the Minnesota State Patrol and two men were ultimately arrested.
Bergquist said based on an investigation it appears the men got their car stuck in the ditch and walked to a residence, where they stole an ATV along with chains and a strap they planned to use to pull the vehicle out.
Matthew Jon Mastenbrook, 20, identified as the driver of the car, faces charges of DUI, driving after revocation, burglary and criminal damage to property.
Daniel Allen Glaw, 22, faces charges of burglary and criminal damage to property.
