Update: Driver in rollover near GF identifiedGRAND FORKS – A 34-year-old Grand Forks man who suffered injuries in a rollover crash about 7 p.m. Friday night has been identified.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, David Daniel Edward Sandahl was driving southbound on Interstate 29 about one mile south of Grand Forks in a blue 2008 Hyundai sedan when the car crossed a median and traveled into the median between both lanes of travel.
When starting to exit the medium onto the south/opposite lane, the car overturned across the northbound lane and into the east ditch, where it came to rest on its tires facing north/northeast, according to the release.
Sandahl, the only occupant of the vehicle, was found inside and transported by Altru Ambulance to Altru Hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
