FARGO – A dinner cabaret will celebrate the cultures of the Fargo-Moorhead area, honor community members who support positive youth development, and raise money for a local youth organization.
The 2012 Keeper of the Flame World Cabaret by RSVP Metro Youth Partnership will be held at 6 p.m. April 29 in the North Dakota State University Alumni Center.
During the event, the Keeper of the Flame award, which Metro Youth Partnership gives to community members who support positive youth development, will be awarded to Barry Nelson, Denise Peterson and Deb Shasky.
Nelson is the former Metro Youth Partnership director; Peterson is the former Metro Youth Partnership mentor coordinator; and Shasky is the former Metro Youth Partnership scholarship coordinator.
The RSVP Youth Leadership PeaceJam team will also share stories of their trip to the 2012 National Youth Service-Learning and youthrive PeaceJam Leadership Conference.
Proceeds benefit RSVP Metro Youth Partnership, which supports initiatives and partnerships that provide opportunities for youth to participate in positive, safe activities, a news release stated.
