The average North Dakota farm was 1,241 acres in 2007, according to the latest data available from the USDA. The average Minnesota farm was 332 acres.

In 2010, North Dakota’s top five commodities were wheat, soybeans, cattle, corn, and canola and Minnesota’s were corn, soybeans, hogs, dairy products, and cattle.
