Scott Berg has joined Choice Financial as vice president of business banking at the branch at 4501 23rd Ave. S., Fargo.
Berg has several years of banking experience, including positions as credit analyst and senior business relationship manager.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from North Dakota State University.
Coaches Choice hires sales leader in Bismarck
Coaches Choice Corporate and Athletic Apparel, Fargo, has hired Cindy Ripplinger to lead sales efforts in the Bismarck office of Coaches Choice.
Ripplinger has worked in the corporate apparel and promotional gift business for more than five years in the Bismarck and Mandan, N.D., area.
Freedom Resource Center hires Lokhorst
Wanda Lokhorst has joined Freedom Resource Center in Fargo as an administrative assistant.
Lokhorst is a native of Oakes, N.D., and graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in child development and family science.
Her previous work experience includes being a direct support provider for Community Living Services and mentoring at the Fargo YMCA.
Store manager named at Milnor dealership
Green Iron Equipment has promoted Tim Nelson to store manager of the dealership in Milnor, N.D.
Nelson has 25 years of sales experience and has been a part of the GIE sales team for the past three.
Nelson is a graduate of Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Moorhead, with a degree in sales, marketing and management. He previously worked for eight years at the Crary Co., West Fargo. He also farmed, and owned and operated the Lisbon (N.D.) Standard Service.

Toshiba International hires Larry Close
Larry Close has joined Toshiba International Corp. as the North Dakota/upper Minnesota sales representative.
Close was previously employed as a regional manager with Anderson-Crane Co., Fargo, and has 25 years of power transmission experience. He is a graduate of Valley City (N.D.) State University.
Skarie joins EAPC as mechanical engineer
EAPC Architects Engineers has hired Christopher Skarie in the firm’s Fargo office as a senior mechanical engineer in the industrial services group.
Skarie was a civilian contractor in Afghanistan for the past three years, providing mechanical engineering support to the U.S. military for facility mechanical system design, troubleshooting and installation.
He also previously worked in consulting, providing services to the sugar and ethanol industries including existing plants and new construction, and worked as a design engineer for a material-handling equipment manufacturer.
Absolute Marketing promotes Anderson
Absolute Marketing Group, Moorhead, has promoted Matt Anderson to art director.
Anderson studied graphic arts at Minnesota State Community and Technical College, and he has been working as a graphic designer at Absolute for the past year.

Utke is a recent graduate of North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in computer science and Web design. He was previously an intern for the firm.

Phoenix International A John Deere Co., Fargo, has hired Kendal Pfitzer as program manager and Charles Kohlmeyer as quality engineer.
Pfitzer received a master’s degree in engineering management from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.
Kohlmeyer graduated from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
Mathern joins Essentia Health in Detroit Lakes
Essentia Health St. Mary’s, Detroit Lakes, Minn., has hired Hope Mathern as a family nurse practitioner.
Mathern, a native of De-troit Lakes, received a doctor of nursing practice degree from North Dakota State University and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Mary, Bismarck.
Four promoted at TMI Hospitality
Fargo-based TMI Hospitality has promoted Jennifer Trzpuc to auditor and Sheila Olson, Nathan Pearson and Nicole Reis to hotel accountants.
Trzpuc started with the company in 2007 in the sales tax department and later held positions in the hotel accounting department, where she was most recently the hotel accountant for Region 4. She is a North Dakota State University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in accountancy.
Olson previously worked in the financial statement and special projects division. She also worked in the sales tax division and has been with the company for more than five years. She has a business administration degree from North Dakota State University.
Pearson started with TMI as an accounts payable auditor. He was previously a sales tax specialist. Pearson is a graduate of Minnesota State University Moorhead with a bachelor’s degree in accountancy.
Reis was most recently an accounts payable specialist. She is a recent graduate of North Dakota State University with degrees in accountancy, human resources, fraud and criminal justice.
First International Bank hires Rostvedt, Houle
First International Bank and Trust, Fargo, has hired Eric Rostvedt as a credit analyst and Scott Houle as a credit review associate
Rostvedt grew up in Minot, N.D., and previously worked at Town and Country Credit Union in Minot and Fargo while attending college. He graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in business administration.
Houle will graduate from NDSU in May with a bachelor’s degree in finance.
Discovery Benefits makes 6 new hires
Discovery Benefits in Fargo has hired Aaron Thompson, Gary Klein and Carrie Powers as consumer services specialists. Peter Turpin and Billy Barragan have been hired as participant services specialists, and Sarah Gortmaker has joined the company as an account manager.
Ripperger promoted to network supervisor
Jeremy Ripperger has been promoted to director of network office supervision at Northwestern Mutual, Fargo. He previously served as the network client relations director.
Ripperger, a native of Pierre, S.D., earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Dakota, Vermillion.
Okeson promoted at State Bank and Trust
Julia Okeson has been promoted to vice president of real estate at State Bank and Trust, De-troit Lakes, Minn.
Okeson, a native of De-troit Lakes, earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Minnesota State University Moorhead and has been in the banking field for more than 10 years. She started her career as a home mortgage originator with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.
She joined State Bank and Trust in 2006 and was previously retail branch manager for State Bank and Trust’s Detroit Lakes and Audubon, Minn., locations.
Moore Engineering adds to staff in West Fargo
Moore Engineering has hired Jeremy Dewald as a graduate engineer in the municipal department and Jordan Odden as a survey crew instrument operator. Both will work in the firm’s West Fargo office.
Dewald received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from North Dakota State University. He was previously employed at Lightowler Johnson Associates.
Odden received an associate degree in civil engineering and land surveying from the North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton. He was previously employed by the North Dakota Department of Transportation in Bismarck.
High Point Networks hires system engineer
High Point Networks has hired Shane Krogstad as a systems engineer in the firm’s West Fargo office.
The addition of Krogstad includes the acquisition of his company, Simplified Computer Solutions, a Fargo-based information technology solutions provider specializing in desktop, server and network sales and support.
H2M hires designer, media coordinator
H2M in Fargo has hired Carrie Copa as an interactive designer and Heather Hanson as a media coordinator.
Copa began her career more than 10 years ago designing newspaper print ads and also previously worked as an animator. She attended Art Institutes International Minnesota, where she majored in computer animation.
Before joining H2M, Hanson spent several years as a print and online advertising consultant for The Forum and as an events coordinator for a local motorsports company. She graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and an associate degree in international business.
Lillestol hires Scheer as clinical trial assistant
Tara Scheer has joined Lillestol Research in Fargo as a clinical trial assistant.
She has bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks.

Tyler Reisenauer and Alysia Larson have been hired as member service representatives at Northland Educators Federal Credit Union, Fargo.
Reisenauer is attending Rasmussen College, where she is studying business management. She has two years of banking experience.
Larson graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mass communications and a minor in Spanish from Minnesota State University Moorhead and has three years of experience in the financial industry.
