Jury selection resumes in killing of NDSU researcherCOOPERSTOWN, N.D. (AP) — Jury selection is scheduled to resume Tuesday in Cooperstown for a man charged with killing a North Dakota State University researcher.
Daniel Wacht is accused of shooting and decapitating Kurt Johnson, who was last seen alive on New Year's Eve 2010. Authorities say Johnson's severed head was found in Wacht's basement in Cooperstown, but Johnson's body has not been recovered.
The 31-year-old Wacht says he gave Johnson a ride in his van on the night Johnson disappeared, but denies killing him.
The trial at the Griggs County Courthouse is scheduled for two weeks.
