Concordia College hires new choral conductorMOORHEAD – Michael Culloton, a 1998 Concordia College graduate, will join the faculty of the Concordia Music Department this fall as choral conductor.
For the past eight years he has been the artistic director of the choral arts ensemble and honors choirs in Rochester, Minn. He also served as choral director at Winona (Minn.) Senior High School and assistant conductor of the National Lutheran Choir.
Culloton received his master’s degree in choral conducting from the University of Arizona and is currently completing his musical arts doctorate in choral conducting at North Dakota State University.
He replaces Michael Smith, associate professor and conductor of the Concordia Chapel Choir, Männerchor and Cantabile, who will retire at the end of this academic year.
