Prescribed burns set in Lisbon areaLISBON, N.D. – As weather conditions allow over the next several weeks, the U.S. Forest Service will conduct prescribed burn treatments near here on the Sheyenne National Grassland.
The burns are planned in 14 units ranging in size from 23 acres to 750 acres, totaling nearly 4,000 acres.
Prescribed burns are planned fires that are carefully managed to achieve specific goals and resource objectives, including the health and regeneration of prairie habitats.
