Ol’ tomcat came to North Dakota

Jody Wien’s concern about Bill Clinton’s use of a crude joke in his public appearance in Grand Forks (The Forum, March 20) shouldn’t have come as a surprise. This is narcissist Bill Clinton, the pathological liar (“I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky”), voluminous skirt chaser (do Gennifer Flowers and Paula Jones, among many more, ring a bell?), and, holy Moses, the systematic breaker of half of the Ten Commandments while serving as president of the United States. Yet, he’s the darling of his North Dakota political party.

If there is a poster child for the decline in morality in this country, could there be a better choice than Ol’ Bill? Virtually any tomcat would have put his tail between his legs, vacated 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. and left Washington, D.C., embarrassed and ashamed – never to be seen again. Not Bill Clinton. He came to North Dakota.
