Semi trailer overturns on I-94 near Tower City

TOWER CITY, N.D. – A semi trailer drove into the ditch and overturned on Interstate 94 near here Friday night, causing traffic to be diverted to one lane.

North Dakota Highway Patrol Sgt. Dave Wolf said the driver, a 40-year-old man from Winnipeg, Manitoba, was traveling eastbound on I-94 going 60 miles per hour when he drove into the ditch, causing the trailer to overturn.

Wolf said the driver, who was not injured in the crash, told the highway patrol he doesn’t remember driving off the road.

“Fatigue could possibly have been a factor,” Wolf said.

As of late Friday night, authorities were still working on getting the trailer out of the ditch.
