Lake Agassiz library promotes one, hires one
Lake Agassiz Regional Library has promoted Liz Lynch to Moorhead hub supervisor and has hired Megan Krueger as Moorhead Public Services supervisor.
Lynch also serves as LARL’s youth services co-coordinator, electronic resources librarian and contact for the Minnesota Certification Program for Library Employees.
Hired in 2001 as LARL’s electronic resources librarian, Lynch was appointed Moorhead Public Services supervisor in 2005. A graduate of Richland (N.D.) High School, Lynch received a bachelor’s degree in anthropology/archaeology from Minnesota State University Moorhead and a master’s degree in library science from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.
Krueger, a graduate of Moorhead High School, received a bachelor’s degree in history/political science from MSUM and is pursuing a master’s degree in library and information science from the School of Library and Information Studies at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She worked at the Moorhead Library as a library associate and at North Dakota State University Libraries before returning to LARL in February.
Prairie Business names Larson region manager
Prairie Business has named Shelly Larson regional account manager. She will be working with businesses in Fargo-Moorhead and south to Sioux Falls, S.D.
She has more than 15 years of experience in advertising, including working in advertising with The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead.
Larson has a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
Marsden named VP at Western State Bank
Chad Marsden has been named vice president and bank manager of Western State Bank, Fargo.
Marsden has more than 13 years of banking experience and most recently was vice president and business banking manager of Cornerstone Bank.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in business and Spanish at Concordia College and a master’s degree in finance from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Bakkegard to manage SBA loan program
Ashley Bakkegard has joined the Lake Agassiz Certified Development Co. in Fargo to manage its SBA 504 program.
Bakkegard is a graduate of the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance.
She has six years of experience with the SBA 504 program, previously having worked as the loan closing and portfolio manager for Dakota CDC.
Wells Fargo hires credit analysts in Moorhead
Rhonda Benson and Erin Mayo have been hired as credit analysts at the Moorhead Wells Fargo location, 730 Center Ave.
Benson has more than 20 years of experience in accounting and tax management and most recently operated her own accounting, tax preparation, planning and consulting business in Fargo. She also served as an adjunct accounting instructor for the Minnesota School of Business, Moorhead. A certified public accountant, Benson has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting from Valley City (N.D.) State University.
With nearly 14 years of experience in financial services, Mayo previously worked for Wells Fargo in a variety of business and credit roles in Colorado and Minneapolis. Most recently, she was a trust specialist for Heartland Trust Co., Fargo. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from North Dakota State University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Mary, Fargo.
Starion hires marketing, communication manager
Starion Financial has hired Jeremy Johnson as a vice president and marketing and communications manager.
He will lead bankwide marketing and promotion to support sales of personal and business banking, mortgage, and insurance and investment services at the organization’s locations in North Dakota and Middleton, Wis.
Johnson has more than 10 years of sales and marketing experience and was previously director of admissions and marketing at Minnesota State University Moorhead.
Johnson has a master’s degree in business administration from North Dakota State University and a bachelor’s degree in marketing and economics from MSUM.
A native of Lake Park, Minn., he is also a licensed Realtor with Prudential Premier Real Estate in Fargo.
Thurow joins Appareo Systems as engineer
Brad Thurow has joined Appareo Systems in Fargo as a solutions engineer.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from North Dakota State University.
Thurow was previously employed at Packet Digital, Fargo.
Beilke joins AE2S Nexus as financial analyst
AE2S Nexus, the financial division of Advanced Engineering and Environment Services, has hired Lisa Beilke as a financial analyst in the Fargo office.
She previously worked as a finance manager at the Harley-Davidson Store in Fargo and was city auditor for Buffalo, N.D.
She is seeking a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Mary.
Two new staff members join MDA office in Fargo
The Muscular Dystrophy Association has hired Marijo Peterson as executive director and Stacy Finnesgard as fundraising coordinator, both in the Fargo office.
Peterson is a native of Velva, N.D., and a graduate of North Dakota State University. She previously worked as the emergency services director for the Red River Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross in Fargo.
Finnesgard is a native of Fargo and a graduate of the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. She previously worked as a partner account manager for APAC Customer Services, Fargo.
High Point Networks hires two employees
High Point Networks in West Fargo has hired Jen McCracken as an account manager and Wes Braunberger as a network engineer.
McCracken graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in business management. She recently was employed by Infor Global Solutions.
Braunberger graduated from the North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton, and was employed by Restaurant Technology Services as a senior network administrator.
EAPC hires Sandry as senior engineer
EAPC Architects Engineers has hired Jesse Sandry in the firm’s Fargo office as a senior mechanical engineer in the industrial services group.
Sandry re-ceived a bachelor’s degree from North Dakota State University and earned a masters degree in business administration from Southwest Minnesota State University. He is a licensed engineer in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Nebraska.
He was the lead design engineer and project manager for plant process improvement projects at Minn-Dak Farmer’s Co-op in Wahpeton since 2010. He also worked at Fagen Engineering, Granite Falls, Minn., as a lead mechanical engineer for multiple ethanol plant construction projects.
Kathryn Miller joins Brudvik in West Fargo
Kathryn Miller has joined Brudvik Law Office at 1241 Prairie Parkway, West Fargo.
Miller, originally from Tracy, Minn., re-ceived a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Minnesota State University Moorhead and a law degree from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks.
Miller specializes in family law and criminal defense. She also works with civil law cases.
Brudvick Law also operates offices in Mayville and Finley, N.D.
Ulteig’s Fargo office makes four new hires
Ulteig in Fargo has hired Kelly Behan as an executive assistant, Rikki Lee in information technology, Amanda Shippy in accounting and Ryan Zezulka in the human resources department.
Behan previously worked for AMA Consulting Engineers as an executive assistant/office manager and she is pursuing an associate degree from County College of Morris in New Jersey.
Lee will work as a software developer. She earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from North Dakota State University and previously worked for SalesfloorLIVE as a software programmer.
Shippy earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Minnesota State University Moorhead and previously worked for Tax Law Office as a staff accountant.
Zezulka will work as a recruiter, a position he also held while employed with Restaurant Technology Services. He is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Mary.
Flint Group welcomes Batcheller, Goebel
The Flint Group in Fargo has hired Mary Batcheller as an account manager and Kayla Shea Goebel as a production artist.
Batcheller previously worked with the Greater Fargo Moorhead Economic Development Corp. as communications coordinator and director of business development. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, where she earned bachelor degrees in political science and strategic communications.
Goebel, a native of West Fargo, is a graduate of the graphic design technology program at Minnesota State Community and Technical College.
Green Iron Equipment hires Joyce as CEO
Green Iron Equipment, LaMoure, N.D., has named Tom Joyce as chief executive officer.
Joyce most recently served as the region manager of Plains Equipment Group. He also worked for 13 years with John Deere Co.
Green Iron Equipment, a John Deere dealership in North Dakota and South Dakota, has locations in LaMoure, Ellendale, Napoleon, Ashley and Milnor, all in North Dakota, and in Britton, S.D.
TMI Hospitality hires Lowry, Schneider
Katie Lowry and Ann Schneider have joined TMI Hospitality, Fargo.
Lowry was named director of quality assurance, and Schneider was hired as a graphic artist.
Lowry previously worked for CI Sport in Fargo. She is a graduate of Concordia College with a bachelor’s degree in business and Spanish.
Schneider previously worked as a visual communications specialist for the Aerospace Network, an affiliate of the University of North Dakota Aerospace, Grand Forks. Schneider, a graduate of UND, has a degree in industrial technology with an emphasis in graphic communications.
Peterson to lead NDSU accreditation team
Larry Peterson, professor of history, has been named director for accreditation, assessment and academic advising in the office of the provost at North Dakota State University.
Peterson joined the NDSU faculty in 1977 as a visiting assistant professor of English and lecturer of history. He was named a full professor of history in 1994. He was department chairman from 1989 to 2006.
Peterson earned a bachelor’s degree at Minnesota State University Moorhead, and a master’s degree and doctorate in American studies at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.
Pediatric Therapy hires Amanda Vanden Hoek
Amanda Vanden Hoek, a speech-language pathologist, has joined Pediatric Therapy Partners, 3060 Frontier Way S., Fargo.
She earned a master’s degree in speech-language pathology from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
Her specialty areas include language, articulation, voice, augmentative and alternative communication, fluency, social aspects, oral motor deficits, feeding deficits and cognition.
