Foot chase ends with Fargo man's arrestFARGO – Police say a Fargo man suspected of breaking into a car Sunday night led police on a foot chase for several blocks before being tackled in the middle of 42nd Street South and arrested.
The officer who first responded to the report of a break-in in progress at 10:42 p.m. saw the suspect standing near a car with a broken window, Sgt. Mike Erbes said.
The officer began questioning the suspect, and when a second officer arrived, the man took off on foot, Erbes said. Police chased the suspect through yards for about seven blocks before tackling him in the middle of the 3500 block of 42nd Street South, he said.
Levi Thene, 23, was arrested on suspicion of burglary, unlawful entry to motor vehicle, possession of a narcotic, false information to law enforcement, marijuana possession, refusing to halt and on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a drug charge, Erbes said.
