Fugitive Focus: Joshua Gene Lattergrass

Local and federal authorities are seeking to apprehend a 27-year-old Fargo man who has three active warrants charging him with violent crimes.

Joshua Gene Lattergrass was most recently wanted by authorities after he failed to appear for a trial March 13 in Fargo Municipal Court to address a misdemeanor charge of resisting a police officer.

Lattergrass is also wanted in Cass County District Court after he failed to comply with the terms of his sentence on two counts of disorderly conduct. He pleaded guilty to the charges in January.

Court records show Lattergrass was charged March 15 in a third active case, in which he is accused of two Class C felonies: aggravated assault and terrorizing.

According to a Fargo police report, Lattergrass allegedly choked a cab driver when he was getting a ride to downtown Fargo on Feb. 18.

The driver was able to stop the vehicle and pin Lattergrass down, while he called 911. Lattergrass soon fled the scene, but he left behind a wallet that helped police identify him.

Lattergrass also owes a fare of $22.30, which he didn’t pay before fleeing the scene, the police report states.
