Foligno’s tip-in goal lifts Buffalo over Wild 3-1

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Buffalo Sabres’ slow start and big finish in a 3-1 win over the Minnesota Wild on Saturday night reflects how their season has gone.

And that never-give-up perseverance – combined with Ryan Miller’s run of splendid goaltending and rookie Marcus Foligno’s timely tip-in goal – has suddenly paid off by lifting the surging Sabres into playoff contention for the first time in three months.
