Victim of fatal Minneapolis house fire identifiedMINNEAPOLIS — Authorities have released the name of a 25-year-old man who died in a house fire in south Minneapolis.
The Hennepin County medical examiner's office identifies the victim as Adam Briesemeister. He died of apparent smoke inhalation.
Neighbors noticed flames and called authorities early Wednesday. Crews found Briesemeister's body in the house and took a woman in critical condition to HCMC. Firefighters used a ladder to rescue two others from the second floor.
Minneapolis fire investigators say the fire started on the front enclosed porch but the cause is undetermined.
