Scot Kelsh to fill Democratic slate with state auditor bidFARGO – A longtime legislator here plans to announce his bid for North Dakota state auditor here on Friday.
Democrat Scot Kelsh is holding a press conference at 11:30 a.m. at The Depot, 701 Main Ave. S., in downtown Fargo, the Democratic-NPL Party said.
Kelsh has represented District 11 in the state House since 1996.
During the 2011-12 session, Kelsh has served on the Finance and Taxation Committee, Energy and Natural Resources Committee, the Committee on Employment and two interim committees.
Outside the Legislature, Kelsh is a fire fighter with the Fargo Fire Department.
Auditor is the last statewide office for which the Democrats had no candidate.
The party will endorse its candidates at the statewide convention this weekend in Grand Forks.
Republican Robert Peterson is up for re-election.
