Billboards seek Minneapolis toddler's killer

MINNEAPOLIS — Billboards will go up this week seeking whoever fired the stray bullet that killed a 3-year-old boy in north Minneapolis.

Terrell Mayes was shot on Dec. 26 while he was inside his house. The bullet had been fired from outside. Terrell died the next day.

Several billboards are going up to help find the boy's killer. Clear Channel Outdoor, Crime Stoppers and the Minneapolis Police Department are collaborating on the billboards.

The Crime Stoppers’ reward for information in the case is now up to $10,000.

WCCO-AM reports the billboards are going up Thursday.

Minneapolis police say they are chasing leads to find out who fired the shot.
