Letter: Gay ‘marriage’ is not marriageThe recent attempt by two gays to get a marriage license is ridiculous. “Gay marriage” is a total contradiction and a distortion of the meaning of the word “marriage.”
For thousands of years, in all the world’s cultures, the word marriage has meant the union of a man and a woman. It is absurd to try to hijack the word and apply it to some other human relationship. It is an insult to the majority of us who believe in the sacred meaning of the word marriage.
The union of two gays or two lesbians can never be exactly the same as a heterosexual union because it is physically impossible and an aberration of nature, and not suited for procreation as nature intended.
