St. Patrick’s Day Parade planned March 17FARGO – For the first time in several years, the annual Fargo-Moorhead St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held March 17, the day of the Irish holiday.
Parade participants should form at 1 p.m. in the Old Broadway parking lot in downtown Fargo.
The parade will begin at 3 p.m. and will proceed north along Broadway to Sixth Avenue North. Leading the parade will be the Fargo VFW Honor Guard, followed by the Heather & Thistle Pipes and Drums. The Dirty Hurlers Band will also be playing live Irish music in the US Bank parking lot.
The Lake Agassiz Pacers will kick off the festivities with at 5K race and 800-meter fun run for kids ages 12 and under.
Skilly and Duff, an Irish Folk Group, will perform at the Fargo Theatre that evening. Proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Emergency Food Pantry’s Relocation Drive.
