Ward County gets grant to help with flooded homesBISMARCK, N.D. — North Dakota has awarded a $3.5 million grant to help Ward County residents with flood-damage homes.
Gov. Jack Dalrymple announced the grant Wednesday.
He says the funds are part of a larger response to help Minot, Ward County and other areas of the state recover from last year's flooding.
The grant money will help cover the costs of rehabilitating 780 homes in Ward County. About $6.5 million in state funding remains to be awarded in counties impacted by major flooding.
