Fugitive Focus: Ashton Lee Norton

Local and federal authorities are seeking to apprehend a 22-year-old Fargo man who has multiple outstanding warrants in North Dakota, after he violated his probation on a 2011 conviction for delivering ecstasy.

State court records show Ashton Lee Norton pleaded guilty last May to the Class B felony drug charge in Cass County.

He was sentenced to serve two years in prison, but 17 months of that was suspended pending he successfully served two years of probation.

In late February, state prosecutors sought to revoke his probation for unknown reasons, and a warrant for his arrest was issued Feb. 24.

That same day, a Cass County judge issued a warrant for a separate misdemeanor charge, accusing Norton of possessing drug paraphernalia. That case was filed Feb. 21.

Norton also has a bench warrant out in Richland County, charging him with possessing stolen property in January.
