Fargo prosecutors decline charges in glitter bombing of Santorum

FARGO – The city prosecutor’s office has declined to file charges against a 25-year-old man who allegedly glitter bombed Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum during his Feb. 15 campaign stop at the Fargo Holiday Inn.

Police forwarded their report for consideration of disorderly conduct charges, but the prosecutor’s office determined there wasn’t enough information and evidence to convict the man beyond a reasonable doubt, Lt. Joel Vettel said, noting Santorum’s aides also did not want to pursue charges.
