Scouts Honors: Eagle Scouts honored

Three Boy Scouts from Fargo Troop 276 have earned their Eagle Scout rank and were recently recognized at an Eagle Court of Honor at Atonement Lutheran Church in Fargo. Troop 276 regularly meets at the church, and Brian Grove is their Scoutmaster.

Brandon Grove is the son of Brian and Sandy Grove. His Eagle project involved building carpet ball, ladder golf and bean bag toss games for the kids’ church at First Assembly of God Church.

Cole Mehring is the son of Mason and Lori Mehring. His project involved a renovation at the Sister Path Playground that included re-staining the playground equipment, building a border around the play area and filling the area with safe playground material.

Luke Pettinger is the son of Tim and Jane Pettinger. His project involved moving and making improvements to the Lions Conservancy Park sign.

All three are students at Fargo Davies High School.

Hunter Gossett and Matthew Stanga, sons of Anne and Jon Gossett, Moorhead, were honored for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout at a ceremony recently held at Oak Grove Lutheran School’s Eid Center in Fargo.

The boys are members of Troop 214. Ken Elfstrum is their Scoutmaster.

Hunter’s project was designing, coordinating, soliciting materials for and constructing a storage shed facility for Faith Lutheran Church of West Fargo.

Matthew’s project was coordinating, soliciting materials for and painting the sanctuary at Faith Lutheran Church.
