No injuries in semi crash on Interstate 94

FARGO – No one was hurt when a car entering Interstate 94 slid into the path of an oncoming semi Wednesday evening.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol:

The accident happened at about 5:45 p.m. when Brian Rames, 44, of Glyndon, Minn., was entering eastbound I-94 at 25th Street. His small SUV slid in front of an oncoming semi driven by Robert Kenstock, 34, of Gillette, Wyo.

The impact sent Rames’ SUV sliding toward the concrete barrier while the semi pulled to the right and jackknifed into the ditch, hitting two trees.

The SUV is considered totaled.

Roads in Fargo were wet, with spotty patches of ice near ramps.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.

The crash is still under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
