West Fargo 18-year-old arrested in Moorhead armed robbery

MOORHEAD – An 18-year-old West Fargo man has been arrested on suspicion of an armed robbery at a Moorhead Stop-n-Go two weeks ago.

Brandon Mitchell Sherman was arrested by West Fargo police after police found clothing matching surveillance video from the robbery and an air pistol in his West Fargo apartment.

Sherman is charged with felony aggravated robbery, Moorhead police state in a news release. He allegedly entered the Stop-N-Go at 1702 30th Ave. S in Moorhead just after midnight on Feb. 15, showed a handgun to the employee, and demanded cash. The employee was not injured.

The robber wore a Fargo North wrestling shirt from the 2009-2010 season. The release stated that Sherman was on the wrestling team during that period.

Sherman also has a U.S. Army military warrant for his arrest for desertion from Fort Jackson, S.C., the release stated.
