Letter: Fargo Snow Bash a great success

What a wonderful community in which we live.

The Fargo Snow Bash committee would like to thank our many sponsors, donors and supporters for taking an active interest in the health and safety of our youth. The free New Year’s Eve event for Fargo high school students from North, South Davies, Woodrow Wilson, Shanley and Oak Grove provided a great way for teens to celebrate and socialize at Dike West and the downtown YMCA. The students who attended had a great time participating in several activities, enjoying food and winning prizes. We hope to grow Fargo Snow Bash 2012 into an even bigger and better event.

Thanks to our sponsors and donors: Fargo Police Department, Fargo Park District, YMCA of Cass-Clay, North, South and Davies PTSA’s and Fargo Public Schools, North and Davies Booster Clubs, Buffalo Wild Wings, CableOne, Cole Paper, D & S Beverages, Doolittles, The Forum, Fraternal Order of Police, Grand Junction, Happy Joe’s Pizza, Brian Hayer & Warner Ins., Hornbacher’s, Moe’s, Rusty & Neva Papachek Family, Poss Custom Cabinets, Sanford, Shanley PTO, Sports Bubble, State Bank, Mike Stirling-State Farm, Trollwood Performing Arts, WDAY, Y-94 and West Acres.

Community support for Fargo Snow Bash was overwhelming, heartwarming and indicative of the value we place on our youth. How “Fargo” of you!

Potter is Fargo South school resource officer; Poss is Snow Bash chairwoman and with the Fargo South PTSA; McCullough is Davies PTSA parent representative.
