Christie Axness has joined Harland Financial Solutions in Fargo as a software implementation specialist.
She is a graduate of Rasmussen College, Eden Prairie, Minn., and has eight years of prior banking experience with Community First National Bank and Bank of the West.
Village Family Service hires Ballinger, Ottmar
The Village Family Service Center has hired Jennifer Ballinger and Jasmine Ottmar as family-based therapists.
Family therapists offer intensive in-home family therapy, counseling and support services to families who have at least one child at risk.
Ballinger earned a master’s degree in community counseling from Denver Seminary and specializes in emotionally disturbed children and adolescents, families, reactive attachment disorder, ODD and autism.
Ottmar, a licensed social worker, earned a master’s degree in social work from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. She previously worked as a residential treatment adviser for the Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch and a mental health practitioner for Solutions Behavioral Healthcare.
Corporate Technologies hires three employees
Corporate Technologies in Fargo has hired Steven Green and Mike Fink as service sales executives and Brent Haugen as a systems engineer.
Green studied mass communication at Minnesota State University Moorhead. He has seven years of sales experience with Scheels All Sports, Best Buy and Wireless Concepts AT&T, Fargo.
Fink attended North Dakota State University and the University of Mary, Bismarck. He previously worked for Integra Telecom, Pitney Bowes and RDO Equipment, Fargo.
Haugen studied at North Dakota State College of Science, Wahpeton, and previously worked for Tecton Products, Fargo.
Three providers join Essentia Health
Essentia Health has hired Camille Brown as a nurse practitioner to the surgical team, Andrea Sherrick as a nurse practitioner to the hospitalist team at its 32nd Avenue Campus, and Penni Weston as a nurse practitioner to the family medicine team at the West Acres Clinic.
Brown earned a doctorate of nursing practice at North Dakota State University.
Sherrick earned a master’s degree in nursing from Clarke University, Dubuque, Iowa. She previously worked for Genesis Medical Center and Mayo Clinic.
Weston earned a post-graduate degree as a family nurse practitioner from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. She also earned a degree in health care administration. She previously worked for 7-day Clinic in Fargo and HCR Manor Care in Toledo, Ohio.
Jenna Boerger joins Record Keepers
Jenna Boerger has joined Record Keepers as a customer support and marketing specialist for its Bismarck and Fargo records storage and
document destruction operations.
Boerger earned degrees in international business and Spanish from Concordia College and a master’s degree in business administration from North Dakota State University.
TMI Hospitality hire four new employees
TMI Hospitality, Fargo, has hired Karla Koenig as an executive assistant, Holli Hasbargen as project plan coordinator, Luke Conklin as a senior SAN administrator and Jennifer Swenson as a purchasing analyst.
Koenig earned a degree in business administration from Minnesota State University Moorhead and previously worked for the Otter Tail Corp. in a similar position.
Hasbargen earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture at North Dakota State University. She has more than seven years of experience in project coordination.
Conklin previously worked at Data Recognition Corp. in Maple Grove, Minn., as a systems administrator.
Swenson earned a bachelor’s degree in apparel and textiles at North Dakota State University. She has more than 16 years of experience as a planner and buyer and previously worked for Vanity.
Bakkum joins Elmwood Family Dentistry
Dr. Nicholas Bakkum has joined Elmwood Family Dentistry in West Fargo.
Bakkum is a graduate of North Dakota State University and the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. He has experience in all phases of dentistry, including preventive, restorative and cosmetic.
AE2S hires Syverson, Meyers, Morris, Ryba
Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services has hired Heather Syverson, Daphne Meyers and Cinde Morris in its Fargo office and Karen Ryba in its Grand Forks location.
Syverson will be responsible for writing news releases and articles for three newsletters. She earned a degree in mass communications from North Dakota State University.
Meyers will serve as the marketing and events coordinator. She earned a degree in English from Jamestown (N.D.) College and has 22 years of experience in the field.
Morris will work as a geographic information systems specialist. She studied architecture and geography at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and previously worked for the city of Fargo, the Bureau of Land Management in Milwaukee and the city of Mesa, Ariz.
Ryba will work as a proposal coordinator. She earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations and a master’s degree in communications at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. She has worked within public relations, communications and marketing for more than 25 years.

Phoenix International A John Deere Co., Fargo, has hired Richard Pochopien and Mark Landman.
Pochopien has been hired as a maintenance technician.
Landman was hired as a software design engineer. He earned a bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering at the University of Minnesota.
Video Guidance expands to ND and hires two
Twin Cities-based Video Guidance, a visual communications company, has expanded operations into North Dakota and has hired Kathy Skramstad as senior account manager and Jon Brademeyer as senior sales engineer.
Video Guidance holds the contract for the state of North Dakota’s video conferencing equipment, which includes services with state and local government, schools, universities and colleges and public libraries.
Skramstad has 18 years of experience in the technology and telecommunications industries. She earned degrees in marketing and business administration from Minnesota State University Moorhead and previously worked for CenturyLink and Cisco.
Brademeyer has more than 23 years of industry experience. He earned a degree in business administration at North Dakota State University as well as numerous technical certifications from Cisco, Juniper, Avaya, Adtran, Nortel and ShoreTel. He previously worked for CenturyLink and Great Plains Software.
State Bank of Hawley promotes Teresa Kuhn
Teresa Kuhn has been promoted to cashier and chief operating officer of State Bank of Hawley, Minn.
Kuhn is a graduate of the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, and the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado.
She has 22 years of banking experience, including nine with State Bank of Hawley. She previously worked for U.S. Bank, Community First Bankshares and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.
Essentia Health promotes Ehlert
Essentia Health has named Candace Ehlert the infection prevention manager at the hospital’s 32nd Avenue campus.
Ehlert earned a nursing de-gree at North Dakota State University. She joined Essentia in 2001 as a registered nurse in the med/surgical unit. She most recently worked as a subject matter expert for clinical application on the electronic medical records project.
Northwestern Mutual hires two employees
Northwestern Mutual of Fargo has hired Dustin Herrmann as a financial representative and Karla Wheeler as part of its sales execution team.
Herrmann graduated from Jamestown (N.D.) College with a bachelor’s degree in financial planning and wealth management. He previously worked as an intern for the company.
Wheeler previously worked for State Farm Insurance.

National Hospitality Services has hired Lauren Shawcross as director of communications.
Shawcross has experience in communica-tions with bankers and investors, public relations, technical writing and editing, and corporate administrative duties.
Appareo Systems hires Gienger, Gay
Appareo Systems of Fargo has hired Lyle Gienger as a shipping and receiving clerk and Kathy Gay as a manufacturing assembler.
Gienger is a graduate of Valley City (N.D.) State University and previously worked for Parker Hannifin, Valley City.
Gay is a graduate of College America and previously worked for Hewlett Packard in Loveland, Colo.
Cornerstone Bank promotes David Felch
Cornerstone Bank has promoted David Felch to chief financial officer and chief operating officer.
Felch joined Cornerstone Bank in 2006 as executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Cornerstone Bank has four locations in Fargo and Bismarck. Felch will work at the 45th Street location in south Fargo.
