Obamacare threat to our freedoms

To protect our freedoms, Obamacare must be repealed. The more we get a chance to “read what is in this bill,” the more we realize it was designed to take more control of our lives and to take away more of our individual freedoms.

Obamacare constitutes and unprecedented and unconstitutional expansion of the federal government’s authority that gives the president almost limitless power over our lives and future weakens the Constitution’s protection of the sovereignty of the states. Nothing in our Constitution gives the federal government authority to tell states or its citizens what they must buy to provide for their individual health care. This legislation that no congressman had time to read is so broad it gives Kathleen Sebelius, U.S. secretary of Health and Human Services, an unelected bureaucrat, too much power.

This socialist progressive statist has now increased her grip around our necks by mandating that all individuals, companies, and religious organizations must buy or at least provide insurance coverage including sterilization, abortion-inducing drugs and devices, and contraception drugs.

In addition to the moral and constitutional problems most Americans have with this act, we cannot afford it. The act again burdens the states with administering and paying for a 2,700-plus page law that adversely affects our medical system, which is the best in the world.

This is just another act of tyranny. Obama through Sebelius is once again rapidly taking away the freedoms outlined in our Bill of Rights and Constitution. Every American must ask if Obamacare is going to improve our health care. I say no; it only advances tyranny. We cannot do much about Sebelius, but we must vote Obama out of office in November.
