Weekend Watch: Lorrie Morgan and Pam Tillis
Two Grande Dames of 1990s Nashville team up Friday night at the Shooting Star Casino, Mahnomen, Minn. Lorrie Morgan and Pam Tillis made names on their own, despite being the daughters of country stars – George Morgan and Mel Tillis. Lorrie Morgan topped the charts with “Five Minutes,” “What Part of No” and “I Didn’t Know my Own Strength,” but is just as well-known for bad marriages to Keith Whitley, Jon Randall and Sammy Kershaw. Pam Tillis scored a No. 1 with “Mi Vida Loca (My Crazy Life),” but her lasting hit could be “Maybe It Was Memphis.” The music starts at 8 p.m. with tickets for $15, $25 and $35. (800) 313-7469.
