Loud parties, burglaries prompt Casselton forumCASSELTON, N.D. – The Cass County Sheriff’s Office has scheduled a crime forum here to address questions related to recent criminal activity in and around the town.
Cass County Sheriff’s Capt. Mitch Burris said the forum, which is scheduled for March 13 at 7:30 p.m. at the Central Cass High School gymnasium, will specifically address recent burglaries and underage alcohol parties.
The meeting will also provide answers to other law enforcement-related questions, he said.
“There are some loud-party questions, questions about why we do things that we do, and we just want to give people the truth,” Burris said. “Knowledge is power, and we believe that we need to provide that information.”
The forum will not provide information on active cases or give legal advice, he added. If the event is successful, Burris said similar crime forums could be scheduled in other area towns.
