Testimony continues in Jamestown murder trialJAMESTOWN, N.D. — Witnesses testifying in the case of a Jamestown woman charged with beating and stabbing to death a Somali immigrant say she and a man charged in the death were with the victim the night he died.
Twenty-two-year-old Janelle Cave is charged with murder and criminal conspiracy in the death of 18-year-old Abdi Ali Ahmed. His body was found in a ditch near Spiritwood on April 30, 2011. Authorities say he was beaten and stabbed.
The trial for 34-year-old Leron Howard of Jamestown is scheduled to begin Aug. 7. He also has pleaded not guilty to murder and criminal conspiracy.
KQDJ reports witnesses testified Wednesday that they saw Howard and Ahmed together at a bar on April 30. Other witnesses recalled seeing Ahmed, Howard and Cave at a house that day.
