Fugitive Focus: Brandon Charles Klevgaard
Original charge: simple assault and resisting arrest
Local and federal authorities are seeking to apprehend a 25-year-old Harwood, N.D., man who is wanted for violating probation on a 2010 felony conviction for simple assault and resisting arrest.
Brandon Charles Klevgaard was sentenced to one year in prison, with about 10 months suspended. Once released, Klevgaard was ordered to serve 18 months of probation.
According to documents filed in Cass County District Court, Klevgaard’s probation officer alleged last fall that he violated the terms of his release by not completing outpatient treatment.
A bench warrant was issued for Klevgaard’s arrest in December after he failed to show up for a court appearance, at which time he could have answered to the potential violations.
