Fisher, Sorensen help Concordia women pick up win

NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Alley Fisher scored 19 points and Tricia Sorensen added 18 as Concordia upended Carleton in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women’s basketball 74-66 Saturday.

Emily Thesing chipped in with 12 points while Erika Jossart snagged five steals for the Cobbers (14-7, 12-6 MIAC).

Carleton’s Akemi Arzouman led all scorers with 23 points.

CONCORDIA (14-7, 12-6 MIAC): Jossart 3-6 0-2 6, Vance 1-5 3-6 6, Thesing 5-7 2-6 12, Sorensen 8-15 2-2 18, Lippert 4-8 1-2 9, Fisher 4-8 11-13 19, Benjamin 0-2 2-2 2, Walloch 0-0 2-2 2. Totals 25-51 23-35 74.
