Thesing’s free throws push Cobbers past Royals

MOORHEAD – Emily Thesing’s two free throws with 5 seconds left capped Concordia’s second-half comeback, as the Cobbers defeated Bethel 65-63 in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women’s basketball Wednesday.

The Royals scored the first 11 points of the game and were up by as many as seven in the second half.

Tricia Sorensen led Concordia with 18 points, while Thesing finished with 16 and Alley Fisher had 14.
