Fargo schools business manager pleads to lesser charge after DUI arrestFARGO – Broc Lietz, business manager for Fargo Public Schools, pleaded guilty on Tuesday in Cass County District Court to a reduced charge of reckless driving stemming from an October arrest.
Lietz, 40, of Casselton, N.D., was initially charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after he was arrested by a state trooper Oct. 8. He pleaded not guilty to that charge.
Craig Richie, Lietz’s attorney, said the state’s attorney reduced the charge to reckless driving after determining Lietz was not driving under the influence.
Lietz was sentenced to 30 days in the Cass County Jail, with all 30 days suspended. He must also pay a total of $650 in fines and fees and serve one year of unsupervised probation.
