“The Voice’s” favorite voice is coming to Fargo.
Javier Colon, the winner of NBC’s reality show/vocal showcase “The Voice,” will be bringing his celebrated singing ability to The Fargo Theatre for a March 13 concert.
Tickets to the show will go on sale at noon Feb. 10 and will cost $27.50 and $39.50 – with the higher price also granting patrons entry to a meet-and-greet with Colon. Tickets can be purchased through the Tickets 300 kiosk off Broadway in downtown Fargo, at Tickets300.com or by calling 800-514-3849.
And while the evening will feature the biggest star from the most celebrated new TV show of the past year, the concert will also include the new star of the Fargo-Moorhead singing scene.
The winner of The Forum’s Fargo Star vocal showcase will be one of Colon’s opening acts at the Fargo Theatre. Of course, we won’t know who that is until the Fargo Star is crowned during the Fargo Star finals in The Venue at The Hub on Feb. 25.
It will be a unique synergy of talent showcase winners; one from the national stage, one from the local stage, but each picked by the public to win their respective contests.
And Colon was a fan favorite as the singer with the bright smile, sideways baseball caps and powerful vocals beat out other “Voice” stars like Dia Frampton and Beverly McClellan.
Colon is touring in support of his new album “Come Through for You,” which was released last fall, and he’ll surely perform songs from that. But it's worth wondering if he'll dip into his material from "The Voice," like Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time."
