West Otter Tail crop, forage show WednesdayFERGUS FALLS, Minn. – The annual West Otter Tail Crop and Forage Show gets under way Wednesday at the Bigwood Event Center here.
More than 400 people are expected to attend the event, which costs $5 for admission and runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
It is sponsored by the West Otter Tail Crop Improvement Association and the University of Minnesota Extension.
The show will give farmers and FFA members a chance to browse grain and food exhibits, commercial booths and wildlife exhibits.
Brian Sorenson, director of the Northern Crops Institute, will talk at 11 a.m. about connecting local farms with global markets.
Ken Herbranson, chairman of the Minnesota division of the Midwest Dairy Association, will talk at 2 p.m. about an agricultural trade mission to China. Herbranson was named one of the Red River Valley Development Association’s farmers of the year last year.
