Fugitive Focus: Ryan 'Flip' Johnson

Federal authorities are seeking to apprehend a 29-year-old Valley City, N.D., man who failed to voluntarily surrender to federal prison earlier this month to begin serving a sentence on a drug charge.

Ryan Johnson, also known as “Flip,” was sentenced in October to serve a 17½-year sentence after pleading guilty in Fargo’s U.S. District Court for distributing methamphetamines.

Under the judge’s order, Johnson was allowed to voluntarily surrender to the Federal Bureau of Prisons on Jan. 9 to begin his sentence.

However, the U.S. Marshal’s Service says Johnson failed to show.

Johnson and several others were charged in connection with possessing and distributing in excess of 500 grams of methamphetamines, according to court documents.
