Four injured in crash east of MoorheadMOORHEAD - Four Minnesota residents were injured in a two-car crash on an icy Interstate 94 about 9:22 a.m. Sunday just east of Moorhead, the State Patrol reported.
Michelle D. Schmidt, 20, Crookston, was entering I-94 westbound from the Highway 336 ramp when she lost control of the car she was driving and it struck the right rear trailer tires of a semi truck, the Patrol reported.
Schmidt’s injuries were not life-threatening, the patrol reported.
Three passengers in Schmidt’s car, Alicia Grove, 19, Kaylee Grove, 15, and Jessica Grove, 11, all of Hawley, were all injured to various degrees. Alicia and Kaylee Grove both suffered injuries that were not life-threatening. Jessica Grove’s injury was described as minor, the patrol reported.
Neither the driver of the semi, Jacob Hildebrand, 38, nor his passenger, Rowena Hildebrand, 29, both of La Broquerie, Man., appeared injured, the patrol reported.
The nature of the injuries, or whether those injured were taken to a medical facility for treatment, were not disclosed in the report.
A patrol dispatcher said no further information was available.
