More about Project Night Light:About Project Night Light:
Project Night Light is based out of a small office in north Moorhead. That’s where Pebbles Thompson has her work space and where she stores the hundreds of donated blankets and other items that will eventually be placed in “bags of hope.”
These bags are distributed to children who have been abused or neglected. Among the items inside each bag: a blanket, pajamas, underwear or diapers, a flashlight, a toothbrush, shampoo and some fruit snacks.
Because so many of the children feel used, only new items are placed in the bags.
You can help with Project Night Light in three ways:
Time – There’s often a need for hands-on help, whether it’s something you do on your own or with a group.
Money – Project Night Light accepts monetary donations to help purchase items in bulk, such as shampoo, toothbrushes and flashlights.
Donations – Project Night Light accepts donations for new, 2-piece pajamas that fit from newborn until 18 years of age. Donations also are accepted for fleece tied blankets. Go to Project Night Light’s website, www.ndnightlight.org, for specific instructions on how to make the blankets.
