Drunken driving alleged in car-tree crashFARGO – Police have identified two men injured when a car struck a tree Sunday morning in north Fargo.
Lucas Platt, 23, and Michael Dahl, 21, both of Pelican Rapids, Minn., were taken by ambulance to Sanford Medical Center.
A hospital spokeswoman said there was no condition report available Monday for Platt, and Dahl was no longer a patient there.
The men, who weren’t wearing seat belts, sustained head injuries not believed to be life-threatening, Sgt. Kevin Volrath told The Forum.
Platt was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, Lt. Joel Vettel said Monday.
Dispatchers were notified of the crash at 7:47 a.m. Sunday. The four-door passenger car was northbound in the 1200 block of Second Street North when the driver lost control and the car left the roadway and hit a tree on the west side of the street, Volrath said. The car came to rest back on the street.
