Victim of strong-arm robbery attempt in downtown Fargo gets awayFARGO – The victim of a strong-arm robbery Tuesday night in downtown Fargo managed to slip free of his jacket to get away from his three attackers, police said.
The incident happened at about 10 p.m. in the 400 block of Third Street North, Sgt. Mike Erbes said.
Three males approached the victim and asked him if he had any money, then grabbed him and started punching and kicking him, Erbes said. The victim’s jacket was the only thing taken from him as he escaped.
The victim “was banged up a little bit” and was seen by F-M Ambulance but refused treatment, Erbes said.
No weapons were threatened or displayed during the robbery, he said.
Police have only vague descriptions of the three suspects, he said.
