Horace fugitive surrenders to US marshals

FARGO – A 33-year-old Horace man wanted for aggravated assault turned himself in today to the U.S. Marshals Service’s High Plains Fugitive Task Force, two days after he was profiled in The Forum.

Didymus Thomas Morsette was featured in “Fugitive Focus,” a weekly collaboration between the Marshals Service and The Forum that highlights wanted fugitives charged with violent crime in the Fargo-Moorhead region.

Marshals Task Force Coordinator David Behm said Morsette surrendered to law enforcement after U.S. marshals made contact with him.

Morsette faces a Class C felony charge in Cass County District Court for allegedly throwing his cellphone at his 11-year-old daughter and breaking her nose on Dec. 5.

Authorities have apprehended or cleared the warrants of 84 percent of the individuals featured in “Fugitive Focus,” since the profile began in March.
