TradeTalk: Fargo businesses affected by mill fire
A fire destroyed the historic mill Tuesday, leaving Hoglund and many of his customers saddened while scrambling to find a new supplier.
“It’s really hard to deal with,” Hoglund said Friday. “There are lots of flour mills out there, but this is a particularly good one.”
Swany’s owner told the St. Cloud Times on Thursday that he doesn’t plan to rebuild.
Hoglund’s natural food store not only supplies flour and bread mixes for retail customers, but businesses, such as Nichole’s Fine Pastry in Fargo, are also going to feel the loss.
Hoglund sold out the last of the Swany mill white flour on Thursday and is working to secure another local supplier.
