Christmas tree pickup scheduled in metro area

FARGO – The city of Fargo will begin picking up Christmas trees the week of Jan. 9.

Residents are asked to place the trees with regular household garbage, removing plastic bags and wood and metal stands. Place the trees at least 5 feet away from the garbage cart.

In West Fargo, Christmas tree collection will start on Tuesday. Place the trees with regular household garbage.

City of Moorhead forestry workers will collect and chip Christmas trees curbside Tuesday through Jan. 13. Trees will be collected on residents’ regularly scheduled garbage pickup day. Apartment residents should place trees on the boulevard, not in Dumpsters.

The city of Dilworth will collect Christmas trees on Jan. 10 and Jan. 24 with regular household garbage.
